As a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, I believe my Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology with a minor in chemistry serves me well in confidently leading students of all ages through a wide range of science courses. I'm excited to offer help in a variety of classes, including elementary sciences, middle school sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, physiology, psychology, ecology, AP Biology, AP Psychology, and standardized test preparation. As an undergraduate, I tutored some of our athletes in their chemistry and ecology courses, and I also served as a teaching assistant for a genetics class. Additionally, I worked in a campus research lab, which meant I had to have a good grasp of chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and genetics. I'm especially passionate about helping students gain a better understanding of their science classes, and I look forward to partnering with students to make that subject material even more interesting. I believe that building a strong base of understanding with a student is vital in helping him or her succeed in moving forward with deeper and more complex materials. When I'm not tutoring, I love to read and engage in various cultural events around the Glenside area.
